Sharing in the New Year

Written by Sujantra

“We must let go of the life we planned, so as to accept the one waiting for us.” –Joseph Campbell

The New Year is an opportunity to reinvigorate our commitment to personal growth and sharing that new found growth with the others and the world.

Yoga is a beautiful way to learn about ourselves. We learn to look honestly at our bodies, minds, and hearts and determine what matters most to us. In our honesty, we see that some things about ourselves need to change and some need to be amplified and honored.

Then comes the next step which is sharing. Within the practice of sharing is where I find the most surprises in life. I practice yoga for myself and to bring balance to my mind and heart. I then wish to share that with others but don’t always have a clear sense of how. It is then that life presents me with unique opportunities–ways that I would have never imagined. When I take notice of these moments, I can share my practice, thoughts, and ideas with others.

The universe knows far better than I what it needs. I do my part, my yoga practice, and then open myself to the opportunities that come along. Be open this year, and you may be surprised at what comes up.

Happy New Year 2018!
