Sri Chinmoy is a spiritual teacher who has dedicated his life in service to aspiring humanity. Sujantra, the owner of the Pilgrimage of the Heart Yoga, has studied with him since 1980. This site highlights his literary, musical and artistic works.

Recommended sites for Yoga and Ayurveda
Swami Sivananda (1887-1963) and his disciple Swami Vishnu_Devananda (1927-1963) worked hard to bring the East to the West. To their credit, they laid a sincere and disciplined foundation. Their organization offer resources and retreats. Check it out.
Vasant Lad is one of the most respected teacher of Ayurveda: the Yogic science of physical health. He’s got great books and a school in New Mexico. If I’ve got my connections correct he works with David Frawley whose books are a great synthesis of Eastern wisdom: well worth the read.
Kerala Ayurveda Academy is dedicated to teaching Authentic Ayurvedic programs in the United States. Start at these sites to connect with the teachings of the great hatha yogi BKS Iyengar. His certified teachers are top-notch and know what their teaching. There are no weekend certification programs in the Iyengar organization. I’ve done the triangle with them and its good. Learn from those who know what they are doing.
Some Well Respected Spiritual Teachers
This is the site for the Vedanta Society of Southern California, which was founded in 1930 and incorporated as a non-profit religious corporation in 1934.
Paramahansa Yogananda knew and elucidated upn the inner landscape like few before or since. All his books are worth reading as are those of his teacher: Sri Yukteshwar.
One of Yogananda’s main disciples split from the organization a few years after the Master’s death. Kriyananda has manifested many books and an ashram community that offers meditation, retreats and hatha yoga instruction, all in the foothills of California.
