Thank you for that sensitive and in-depth explanation of Om.  I was given this as a mantra way back in the early 70&#039;s when I began Transcedental Meditation.  I&#039;ve since read and heard various definitions and yours is by far the most thorough.  I&#039;ve practiced various techniques over the years and have felt that chanting/reciting Om has been the most effective for me (I really struggle to stay awake with most other types). After reading your entry, I feel inspired to pick up my practice again!
